Pandora's Lid establishes administrative protection on your phone. It operates under Android's native Device Owner framework to hold newly installed applications and enforce web allowlisting—without surrendering private content to corporate surveillance.

Android requires Device Owner mode to be set during initial setup or via local ADB administration on an unconfigured handset.
Recommended for production handset setup without requiring a workstation or ADB.
Android security rules require Device Owner mode to be assigned before personal Google accounts are linked. Back up your files and initiate a factory reset under Settings > System > Reset options.
When the device reboots to the initial "Welcome" setup screen, tap anywhere on the blank white background 6 times in rapid succession. This launches Android's native provisioning camera scanner.
Connect the handset to Wi-Fi, then scan your QR code generated in the Pandora's Lid Setup Wizard. The phone will automatically download app-release.apk and apply the Device Owner payload.
Once setup completes, sign into your console. Newly downloaded apps will be suspended immediately by Bouncer until approved by your nominated accountability partner.
Pandora's Lid inspects package installations and web request origins only. It cannot read text messages, photos, contacts, or location coordinates.
Newly downloaded Play Store apps are placed into a suspended state within 5 milliseconds, preventing engagement before partner approval.
No corporate backend or cloud administrator can bypass your agreement. Controls remain strictly between you and your designated partner.
